Arriving and Leaving the Cabin

Arriving at the cabin during the summer (May 15^th to November 15^th)

Turn on water pump circuit breaker #23

Check for water at all faucets

Turn on water heater circuit breaker #14

Turn on stove circuit breaker #15

Turn on heater circuit breaker #10 (near phone)

Plug in power strip to TV, etc

Leaving the cabin during the summer (May 15^th to November 15^th)

Turn off water heater circuit breaker #14

Turn off water pump circuit breaker #23

Turn off stove circuit breaker #15

Turn off heater circuit breaker #10 (near phone)

Unplug power strip by TV

Check that all electric blankets are unplugged

Cleaning
Wipe out the refrigerator and see if freezer needs to be defrosted

Take away any left-over food

Wipe off stove and oven

Vacuumed entire cabin

Sweep entry way, kitchen, and bathroom

Clean tub, toilet, counters, and sink in bathroom

Shake rugs

Dust

Close draperies throughout cabin

Bring in white chairs from the deck and yard

Turn off all lights, lamps, electric blankets

Take away ALL garbage

Lock cabin and post office

What to Bring to the Cabin

Make sure to bring your own:

Bath and beach towels

Sheets, pillow cases, and bedding

Sleeping bags

Dish towels/sponges/dish soap

Paper plates/cups/utensils/napkins

Garbage bags

Paper towels

Toilet paper

Soap/shampoo/toiletries

The land-line is local service only, so bring a phone card if you need to make long-distance calls.  Verizon cell phones now work at the cabin.
